The festival is divided into three sections: Festive Anecdotes, Festive Challenges, and Peculiar Wonderland.
Festive Anecdotes are multiple quests split across 4 acts that are centered around the Windblume Festival itself. You will learn about the traditions of the people of Mondstadt during the festival, and the Windblume, the flower offered to the Wind Archon during the festival.
Festive Challenges consist of 3 new mini-games. These will award Festive Tour Tickets, which can be redeemed for rewards in the Event Shop. They will not be available to play after the event is over.
Travelers will put their archery skills to the test in this challenge. The goal is to shoot balloons in succession, resulting in a combo. Hitting certain balloons gives varying number of points (small or large), while hitting a Heartbreak Balloon will result in a combo-break (This can also happen if you stop shooting for a while). Only normal and charged attack shots will pop the balloons, and Ganyu’s AoE arrow will pop multiple balloons, though you will need to be careful with it to not hit a Heartbreak Balloon.
Floral Freefall (Gliding Event)
Travellers will be trying to collect Flower Balls while freefalling through the air. You get bonus points depending on how much time you have left after finishing the run.
Ballads of Breeze
This challenge has 4 songs, each one having 3 difficulties (Normal, Hard, Pro). Upon starting a song, circles will appear on the 2 sides of the screen, with each side having four buttons associated. Travelers will need to press the correct buttons as the circles appear on the screen at the right time to build up a combo and earn points.
A new domain where travellers will encounter three random mini-challenges to gain buffs before fighting a final boss. The buffs gained depends on the performance in the mini-challenges.
Peculiar Collab Coupons can be earned through Peculiar Wonderland, which can be redeemed for rewards in the Event Shop
This challenge will require you to memorize a path of platforms that will light up before the challenge begins, then walk on the correct path to light it up. Stepping on the wrong platform will make it collapse and cause you to fall down and start over, though any correct platform you stepped on before will still be lit up.
The Great Bubble Crash
You will need to reach the end of the path while avoiding the water bubbles that trap and deduct points from you. Collecting the crowns will give you extra points.
Avoid the waves of projectiles fired by the device in the center till the time is up. Getting hit by those projectiles deducts points. Projectiles fired will vary from Electro/Pyro pulses (similar to what the Electro Hypostatis boss fires) and Electro/Pyro bombs. Dodge to the side for the pulses, and watch the circles that surround the bombs to know the range and dodge accordingly. In the final part of this challenge, the device will release waves that cover the whole arena, which you can simply jump over.
Stepping Stone Antics
A number of platforms will vibrate before collapsing, and you will need to move over to the ones that aren't vibrating to avoid falling down. It's not possible to restart this challenge; if you fall, you go onto the next stage.
Collect crowns falling from the sky to get points. Some of these crowns are traps and will change color to red. Collecting them will cause an explosion and deduct 20 points. Normal crowns yield 10 points each, and getting 240 points within the time limit is the criteria for completing the challenge.
Completing these challenges gives Facundity points depending on your performance. You can unlock up to 3 buffs using these points, each one unlocking at 100, 200, and 300 points respectively. The buff effect will vary.
The final stage of Peculiar Wonderland is the boss fight, which is just a Pyro Regisvine that periodically drops bombs on you (think of a Ruin Hunter's nukes). Deal with it like you would with a normal Pyro flower.
Outland Gastronomy (Daily Login Event)
Travelers will partner up with a mini-Oceanid and help it absorb Oceanid creatures to grow up. The Oceanid can be obtained after completing the event.
Event challenge: Challenge Raging Rhodeia, a powered-up Oceanid. Travelers will be able to directly damage Oceanid in this challenge. Rewards for defeating Oceanid can be claimed through resin, but also through Hearts of the Spring, which can be obtained by helping the mini-Oceanid grow up (A total of 5 of these are available).
A new challenge with a battle-royale style of gameplay with three difficulty levels will be added daily. The rewards scale with difficulty, but completing a higher difficulty marks the lower difficulties completed. Travellers will get different buffs in each challenge to assist them with clearing challenges.
A one-time boss you will follow to a domain with Dainsleif in the new Archon Quest, where you will find a Statue of the Seven hanging upside down. The goal is to stop him from creating an ultra-destructive weapon.
Hangout Events: Series I
A new type of permanent content, where you will be able to interact with characters and learn more about them. The feature unlocks at Adventure Rank 26, and will require Story Keys to unlock for each character. The gameplay is similar to story quest gameplay, but with a catch; At certain times throughout the quest, you will be asked to make choices that will affect the ending of the story. Depending on your choices, the quest could end immediately. Retrying the quest is possible, and you get rewards for getting all the different endings. More characters will be added to this later in the game, but for this update, we have Barbara, Noelle, Chongyun, and Bennett. Each character hangout event has 6 different endings.
