Amber TLDR Guide

Intro

PSA #1:

Supports are the stage workers. Their jobs are to make the DPS shine in the spotlight. If you mess up, they may potentially die, so don’t mess up (I’m looking at you Amber) >:(

PSA #2:

Both Amber’s abilities scale off ATK. Yeah… honestly I have zero idea why I’m making this guide for her since like 0.00001% of the community use her, but she’s trying her best guys. At least she’s the best lighter Genshin NA.


E = Elemental Skill = Explosive Puppet

Q = Elemental Burst = Fiery Rain

Mainguide

Charged Attack - Precise Shot

Aimed Shot hits on weak spots increase Base ATK by 15% for 10s.

If you shoot someone in their weak spot, Amber decides to show no mercy and just does more damage.

Take advantage of this free ATK buff by landing a shot on an enemy’s weak point before you use your abilities when swapped to Amber.


E - Explosive Puppet

Baron Bunny

  • Continuously taunts the enemy, drawing their fire.
  • Baron Bunny's HP scales with Amber's Max HP.
  • When destroyed or when its timer expires, Baron Bunny explodes, dealing AOE Pyro DMG.

Hold
Adjusts the throwing direction of Barron Bunny. The longer the button is held, the further the throw.

Amber never gets taken out on adventures, so she literally throws out a puppet to talk to herself. It’s so annoying that enemies want to kill it. IF IT DIES OR TIMER RUNS OUT, IT EXPLODES.

Her puppet scales off HP, but honestly you just want it to die faster so you can get a pyro proc out, so don’t worry about building HP.


Q - Fiery Rain

Fires off a shower of arrows, dealing continuous AoE Pyro DMG.

Shoots a volley of fiery arrows in a small AoE. Honestly it’s lackluster and it’s just meant to proc pyro consistently. Why did they make her so useless…

It is HIGHLY recommended that you pair this with a taunting ability (like Amber’s E), as the radius of the ability is fairly small and enemies can simply walk out of it.

Every Arrow Finds Its Target

Increases the CRIT rate of Fiery Rain by 10% and widens its AoE by 30%.

Q gets a bigger AoE and an additional 10% CRIT%. Seriously guys, why are you reading this.

Talent Leveling Order: Q > E > Normal

Weapons

Choice Number #1 - The Stringless


Weapon Ability

Increases Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst DMG by 24/30/36/42/48%.

Usage Description

Has base Elemental Mastery scaling and makes her E and Q hurt more.


Choice Number #2 - Slingshot


Weapon Ability

If a Normal or Charged Attack hits a target within 0.3s of being fired, increases DMG by 36/42/48/54/60%. Otherwise, decreases DMG by 10%.

Usage Description

Has base CRIT% scaling and great for scaling Amber’s damage early.

Essentially, when you swap to Amber, use a Charged attack (or even a normal attack is fine) to hit a weak point to receive 15% from her passive + 60% from Slingshot, then use her abilities.


Choice Number #3 - Sacrificial Bow


Weapon Ability

After damaging an opponent with an Elemental Skill, the skill has a 40/50/60/70/80% chance to end its own CD. Can only occur once every 30/26/22s/19/16s.

Usage Description

Good alternative, but you shouldn’t be struggling to get Amber’s Q due to it’s extremely low 40 cost.


Choice Number #4 - Favonius Warbow


Weapon Ability

CRIT Hits have a 60/70/80/90/100% chance to generate a small amount of Elemental Particles, which will regenerate 6 Energy for the character. Can only occur once every 12/10.5/9/7.5/6s.

Usage Description

Good alternative, but you shouldn’t be struggling to get Amber’s Q due to it’s extremely low 40 cost.


Choice Number #5 - Raven Bow


Weapon Ability

Increases DMG against opponents affected by Hydro or Pyro by 12/15/18/21/24%.

Usage Description

Not a shabby placeholder.

Artifactsetup

Artifact Setup #1 - Recommended for a desperate support


Just press Q and swap. She’s served her purpose of buffing the team. Less screen time Amber has the less hope she has of being good.

Sands - ATK%, Goblet - Pyro DMG%, Circlet - CRIT%/CRIT DMG%

Substats: CRIT% > CRIT DMG > ATK > EM


1st Setbonus (Noblesse Oblige)

Elemental Burst DMG +20%

2nd Setbonus (Noblesse Oblige)

Using an Elemental Burst Increases all party member's ATK by 20% for 12s. This effect cannot stack.


Artifact Setup #2 - Recommended for a desperate support with little noblesse oblige


If someone is already running 4-set Noblesse Oblige, just run 2-set Noblesse + 2-set Crimson.

Sands - ATK%, Goblet - Pyro DMG%, Circlet - CRIT%/CRIT DMG%

Substats: CRIT% > CRIT DMG > ATK > EM


1st Setbonus (Noblesse Oblige)

Elemental Burst DMG +20%

2nd Setbonus (Crimson Witch of Flames)

Pyro DMG Bonus +15%


Artifact Setup #3 - Recommended for early assistance


It’s great because Amber’s Q has a really low CD and the set’s uptime is practically 100%.

Sands - ATK%, Goblet - Pyro DMG%, Circlet - CRIT%/CRIT DMG%

Substats: CRIT% > CRIT DMG > ATK > EM


1st Setbonus (The Exile)

Energy Recharge +20%

2nd Setbonus (The Exile)

Elemental Burst regenerates other party members' Energy by 6


Artifact Setup #4 - Elemental Mastery Buff


You can run Instructor on her as well for additional elemental mastery buffs for your team!

Substats: CRIT% > CRIT DMG > ATK > EM


1st Setbonus (Instructor)

Increases Elemental Mastery by 80

2nd Setbonus (Instructor)

After using Elemental Skill, increases all party members' Elemental Mastery by 120 for 8s

Conclusion

PSA #4:

As much as she’s bullied, there is an extremely meme C1 DPS Amber build that’s focused on her charged attack. You can use Royal Bow or Amos’ Bow for the weapon, and run 2-set Berserker + any 2-set 18% ATK+ set. It’s not exactly viable, but it’s fun to play.
